The top spiral helps repair damaged leaders. The leader can be wound through the plastic spiral to encourage new growth. Even saleable trees that have lost their leaders can be repaired and sold the same season.

Best when used on new growth while the shoots are pliable. For training up stiffer old-growth, use the stenholdt wire adjusters.

The spiral is plastic coated and is suitable for smaller trees.
